Telecare, AYINET’s Digital Innovation for Peace, Justice and Social Uplift, was launched just a month ago. The project aims at reducing human vulnerabilities and inequalities while promoting the culture of peace and justice through technology.
Telecare is about advancing technology as a path towards national cohesion, peace and social uplift. The project includes:
Telecare promise
Telecare starts bridging the digital divide and seeks to provide awareness, prevention, response and recovery in relation to health crises, Gender Based Violence (GBV), promotion of peace and youth Leadership development. Telecare will be accessible to all, including the offline communities.
Telecare will effectively bring on board the offline community that represents the majority of the population. This provides sufficient prospects to mitigate the harmful socio-political, cultural and economic practices that violate human rights such as female genital mutilation, political and social media control, marginalization, discrimination, civil wars, child-soldiers, human sacrifice, human trafficking and modern slavery.
